BSDCG 2005 Annual Report

BSD Certification Group Inc. publishes annual Report

May 26, 2006 -- The BSD Certification Group Inc. today released their 2005 Annual Report. This annual report outlines the BSD Certification Group's events, finances, membership, and progress throughout 2005.

"Thanks to the generosity of the BSD community, the first year of operation for the BSD Certification Group Inc. resulted in many successes on a shoestring budget", stated Dru Lavigne, acting chair, about the report. "The biggest challenges for 2006 will be raising monies to pay for the psychometric assessment and choosing (and possibly creating) a secure, affordable, and accurate mechanism for delivering the assessment."

She said, "We look forward to working with the community in facing these challenges head-on in order to produce a high quality certification examination."

About the BSD Certification Group

The BSD Certification Group Inc. is a non-profit registered in the state of New Jersey, USA. Established in January, 2005, its mission is to create and support a standardized certification process to assist system administrators and employers validate competence in the implementation of best practices for BSD operating systems.
